FORNEY, Texas — No injuries were reported in the fourth rainy-day accident today in the same mile stretch of U.S. Highway 80 in Forney.
This accident involved an SUV traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 80 near Farm-to-Market (FM) 460. The SUV lost control, spun backwards, and went down into a ditch in between the highway and the south service road — and luckily managed to not overturn.
A wrecker winched the vehicle out of the ditch and the driver drove it from the scene. The accident was cleared at approximately 1:50 p.m.
The first accident reported today was a three-vehicle accident on the westbound side of the highway in the same location. The second accident was on the westbound side near Pinson Road and the third was on the westbound side near Liberty Hill.
The Forney Fire Department and Forney Police Department responded to this accident. An inbound East Texas Medical Center ambulance was disregarded.
