SCURRY, Texas — Visitation and funeral services have been planned for a Scurry Fire Department captain who lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.
49-year-old Tommy LaCour, who served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 25 years, passed away yesterday after a long battle with cancer, Kaufman County Fire Marshal Randy Richards announced.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church located at 7325 South State Highway 34 in Scurry, Texas.
Fire departments and their members from across the county are expected at LaCour’s funeral services.
Visitation and viewing will be Thursday, July 16, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church.
