FORNEY, Texas — Funeral services are planned for a retired Forney Police Department officer who served the department for over 30 years, the department announced Friday night.
Retired Lieutenant H. M. Burger died Friday morning at his home. Funeral services, which were originally planned for Wednesday and rescheduled due to inclement weather, are planned for Friday, February 27, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Allan Funeral home located at 205 Corky Boyd Avenue in Wills Point, Texas, 75169. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Burger joined the Forney Police Department in 1981 and served for over 30 years.
“He will truly be missed by all that knew him,” stated a Facebook post by the Forney Police Department. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to all friends and family at this time of sorrow.”
