FORNEY, Texas — A two-vehicle head-on collision Saturday night closed Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 south of FM 741.
The accident was reported at approximately 11:10 p.m. on FM 548 near Walnut Lane — south of FM 741. Three people were transported to local hospitals — one of which required extrication by firefighters.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, and two East Texas Medical Center ambulances responded to the accident. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage.
As of 11:36 p.m., FM 548 remained closed. Wreckers were on scene.
