HEATH, Texas — In an effort to raise money for Carry the Load 2015, a national charity walk to honor military and public service members, two Heath Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers plan to run the Heart of Heath 5K run on April 4, 2015, in their full police and firefighter gear.
HEATH, Texas — In an effort to raise money for Carry the Load 2015, a national charity walk to honor military and public service members, two Heath Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers plan to run the Heart of Heath 5K run on April 4, 2015, in their full police and firefighter gear.
Heath DPS police officer Brandon Seery will run the Heart of Heath 5K in his patrol uniform and Heath DPS firefighter Zack Wolfing will run it in his full firefighter gear.

The Heart of Heath 5K, which will be chip timed and is USATF certified, will be held in conjunction with the City of Heath’s Fit and Fun in the Park event on Saturday, April 4, 2015. The event will also include a family fun run and other fitness activities at Town Center Park from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Early registration for the Heart of Heath 5K is $20 before April 3, 2015, and $30 on race day. Kids 14 and under run for $15. The family run is $10 per person. Registration can be done online at heathtx.com.
Pre-registration packet pick up will be Friday, April 3, 2015, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Rockwall Running Center which is located at 539 East Interstate 30 in Rockwall, Texas. Event day pick up and registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit the City of Heath trails and parks.
