KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — An approaching storm system is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms, and possibly more severe weather, to Kaufman County on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — An approaching storm system is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms, and possibly more severe weather, to Kaufman County on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas.
“Another storm system forecast to approach the region late week,” stated the NWS. “This system will bring good chances of showers and thunderstorms region-wide Thursday and Thursday night.”
“There will also be the potential for some severe thunderstorms,” stated the NWS. “Damaging winds will be the main severe weather threat but large hail and even a few tornadoes will be possible.”
The storms are moving at a decent pace, according to the NWS, and widespread flooding is not expected however some locally heavy rain will be possible.
Rainfall along and east of the Interstate 35 corridor is expected to be an inch or more.
