CRANDALL, Texas — A family of four was displaced after their home was destroyed by a fire on Thursday morning.
CRANDALL, Texas — A family of four was displaced after their home was destroyed by a fire on Thursday morning.
The Crandall Fire Department responded to the 5000 block of Crandall Hills Drive just after 7 a.m. for a reported structure fire. Upon their arrival, firefighters reported heavy smoke and flames from a double-wide mobile home.
Mutual aid was requested from the Combine Volunteer Fire Department, Kaufman Fire Department, the Forney Fire Department, and the Seagoville Fire Department.
The family was home at the time of the fire and were able to safely evacuate, according to Kaufman County Fire Marshal Randy Richards whose office is investigating the fire.
The Red Cross of Kaufman County responded to the house to provide the family with assistance and for firefighter rehab.
