GRAYS PRAIRIE, Texas — A child was airlifted from a home just outside the village limits of Grays Prairie, Texas, on Thursday afternoon after being kicked by a horse.
The child was injured in the 12000 block of Thomas Lane around 7 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, just outside of Grays Prairie, which is located south of Scurry, Texas, along Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 in Kaufman County. First responders immediately requested an air ambulance for the child who was eventually flown to a Dallas, Texas, area hospital.
The child was reportedly under the age of five. The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office was unable to provide any further details due to the incident being classified as a “strictly medical” incident.
The patient’s condition is not known.
