KAUFMAN, Texas — The Kaufman County Citizens’ Monument Commission is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Kaufman Church of Christ at 27 Oaks Creek Drive in Kaufman, Texas.
According to the published agenda, there will be no public speaking at this meeting.
The commission has established an email address to solicit public opinion on the Confederate monument at the entrance to the Kaufman County Courthouse. The email address is KaufmanMonument@gmail.com.
The commission is not a decision making body instead, the commission will be charged with presenting a recommendation to the Kaufman County Commissioners' Court by November 10, 2020.

a. Set regular Meeting schedule

c. Discuss having information seminars (ie; Town Hall meetings) in each Precinct
d. Use of Survey Monkey
i. Use a separate survey for Courthouse workers?
e. Discuss how we keep tally on Public Input at all meetings
f. Discuss whether public speakers should be voiced taped
g. Publication of notice of Meetings. (Newspapers, local publications)
h. Discuss the need for a Commission Budget
i. Adopt a “Public Participation Form”
5. Security will be provided at all Regular Meetings. Do we need/require security at Town Hall meetings??
