KCSO Captain Fred Klingelberger graduates Leadership Command College

FORNEY, Texas — Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Captain Fred Klingelberger graduated from the Leadership Command College at the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas last month.

FORNEY, Texas — Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Captain Fred Klingelberger graduated from the Leadership Command College at the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas last month.

Klingelberger is in the department’s computer forensics division and currently serves as the department’s public information officer.

“On behalf of the Kaufman Country Sheriff’s Office, I want to congratulate Captain Fred Klingelberger on his recent graduation from the prestigious, LEMIT Leadership Command College,” KCSO Sheriff David A. Brynes told inForney.com.

“Passion is a constant drive, an inner focus to continuously excel beyond what’s expected and to never stop striving for more,” stated Byrnes. “Fred has passion in spades, and we are lucky to have such a great leader and ambassador for Kaufman County.”

Klingelberger attended the 75th class of the nine-week program which is taught by a consortium of universities throughout Texas including Texas A&M University’s Center for Executive Development, Sam Houston State University, and the Texas Woman’s University in areas of leadership, political, legal, communication, personnel management issues, professional ethics and integrity, law enforcement administration, and social environments of law enforcement.

“This program is one of many offered by the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, headquartered on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas,” according to a LEMIT press release. “The Institute, known as “LEMIT,” has been training law enforcement managers and executives since its inception in 1987.”

Klingelberger also plans to attend the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
