TALTY, Texas — A man was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital following a farm accident in the Talty area on Saturday morning.
At approximately 9:45 a.m., the Forney Fire Department and CareFlite responded to a pasture on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 between FM 2932 and Adams Street for a man who was injured when a round hay bale fell on top of him.
The man was either loading or unloading a hay bale trailer at the time of the accident, according to Forney Fire Department Chief Rick Townsend.
The man was later flown by CareFlite medical helicopter to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, with what were described as serious but non-life threatening injuries.
FM 148 was closed at the time of the incident to allow the helicopter to land on the road.
