FORNEY, Texas — A man was arrested after a rollover accident on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 halted rush hour traffic Friday, December 12, 2014. The accident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 just east of Farm-to-Market (FM) 460.
FORNEY, Texas — A man was arrested after a rollover accident on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 halted rush hour traffic Friday, December 12, 2014. The accident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 just east of Farm-to-Market (FM) 460.
The vehicle overturned and came to a rest on its driver side — entrapping the driver. The vehicle sustained major damage to the front right of the vehicle and its front right tire became separated likely from striking a bridge guardrail. The highway was reopened a short time later.
The male driver was treated at the scene by EMTs for superficial wounds to his head and released. The Forney Police Department then arrested the driver.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, and an East Texas Medical Center ambulance responded to the accident. A wrecker removed the vehicle.
