COMBINE, Texas — A man was injured Monday night after the recreational aircraft he was piloting crashed near the Seagoville Airport on Combine Road.
The aircraft, a Quicksilver MXL, went down next to a tree in the Grange Hill Cemetery which is located in the 1700 block of Combine Road in Combine, Texas, near the Dallas-Kaufman County line. The crash is located in Dallas County.
The man allegedly crashed and called a friend to transport him to an area hospital before emergency personnel arrived on scene, according to police — leaving the aircraft at the cemetery.
Around 9:30 p.m., emergency personnel from Dallas County, the Combine Volunteer Fire Department, and the Combine Police Department were dispatched to locate the aircraft due to a possible fuel spill.
The only property damage reported was the damage to the aircraft. The man’s identity and current condition are unknown at this time.
None of the grave sites in the cemetery appeared to be affected by the crash.
