FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Fire Department extinguished a box truck fire on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 early Friday morning, September 26, 2014.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., the CLS insulation installation box truck caught fire while traveling northbound on FM 548 and stopped just south of Falcon Way. The box truck was hauling full load of insulation.
The driver was able to exit the vehicle safely and no injuries were reported. The fire was extinguished at 7:30 a.m.
The northbound lane of FM 548 was closed while emergency personnel were on scene and was reopened at 8:20 a.m.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal's Office is on scene conducting a fire investigation.
