CRANDALL, Texas — The Crandall Independent School District (CISD) doesn’t expect to make any changes to the current bus routes and times for those in upcoming long-term construction zones on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 and FM 3039.
CRANDALL, Texas — The Crandall Independent School District (CISD) doesn’t expect to make any changes to the current bus routes and times for those in upcoming long-term construction zones on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 and FM 3039.
According to CISD, construction on FM 148 was expected to begin today in Scurry, Texas, at the intersection of FM 1390. The $13 million, 7.475-mile project, assigned to Austin Bridge & Road, LP, is expected to take 256 working days or one year. the construction will span FM 148 from FM 1390 to U.S. Highway 175 in Crandall, Texas.
3.965 miles of construction on FM 3039 from Combine, Texas, to Crandall, Texas, is expected to begin in late October and be complete by summer of 2015. The road will be closed to one lane with lights during the construction, according to CISD. This project is assigned to A.L. Helmcamp, Inc., for an amount of $3.854 million, according to TxDOT’s website.
“At this time, we will not alter school bus routes and times,” stated CISD. “If the bus your student rides is affected, then we will be in contact with you before a change is made.”
“Thank you in advance for your patience with the construction. We know that in spite of the minor delays we will still make getting students to and from school a main priority of the district,” stated CISD.
