FORNEY, Texas — No injuries were reported after a driver lost control of her vehicle and struck a light pole on U.S. Highway 80 Wednesday, November 5, 2014.
The driver was traveling westbound when she lost control, left the road, and struck a highway light pole in between the highway and the north service road just west of the Pinson Road bridge. The pole toppled over and narrowly avoided falling onto the highway.
The highway onramp at Pinson Road was closed while emergency crews were on scene. No major traffic delays were observed. The vehicle, which sustained major front-end damage, was towed away on a flatbed wrecker.
The Forney Fire Department and Forney Police Department responded to the accident. An inbound East Texas Medical Center ambulance was disregarded after no apparent injuries were reported.
