FORNEY, Texas — No injuries were reported after two pickup trucks collided on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 and briefly closed the road just north of Forney.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on FM 548 at its intersection with Falcon Way. Two pickup trucks, which sustained front-end damage, collided and came to a rest in the southbound and northbound lanes.
The Forney Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Saftey, and an East Texas Medical Center ambulance responded to the accident scene. Of the multiple vehicle occupants, none requested transport to a hospital for treatment.
FM 548 was briefly closed while firefighters cleared debris. The southbound lane was reopened a short time later but the northbound lane remained closed until wreckers removed the vehicles.
