KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — No major injuries were reported following a single-vehicle rollover accident on eastbound I-20 early Saturday morning.
At approximately 1 a.m., a beige SUV overturned on the interstate just east of Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 in Kaufman County. The SUV rolled off the south side of the highway and came to a rest on its roof in the shoulder.
Both occupants, who sustained cuts and bruises, refused transport by an arriving East Texas Medical Center ambulance.
The Forney Fire Department initially responded to the accident and later requested the Mesquite Fire Department and Mesquite Police Department due to the accident being within the Mesquite city limits.
Only the right lane of eastbound I-20 was closed during the accident. No traffic delays were observed.
