HEATH, Texas — One person was injured Wednesday afternoon following a head-on collision on Farm-to-Market (FM) 740.
The crash was reported at 1:47 p.m. on FM 740 near the Kaufman-Rockwall County line in the city limits of Heath.
A truck pulling a trailer and a vehicle collided head on in a sharp curve in the road — briefly entrapping one person who was later taken by ambulance to Presbyterian Hospital in Rockwall, Texas, with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, CareFlite, Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office, and the Heath Department of Public Safety responded to the scene.
FM 740 was briefly closed during the initial emergency response. It mays alternating traffic lanes while a wrecker works to remove one of the vehicles from the shoulder.
