KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — One person was injured and transported to a Dallas-area hospital after an apparent blow-out forced a truck off the highway and into a tree.
The Elmo Volunteer Fire Department responded to westbound U.S. Highway 80 at County Road (CR) 309, near Ham’s Orchard, where the truck had collided with the tree.
Firefighters extricated the driver who was later transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, by CareFlite ambulance.
Officials say a blow out may have caused the crash.
The Texas Department of Transportation is investigating the crash.
