TERRELL, Texas — A Christmas Day two-vehicle rollover crash claimed the life of a Longview, Texas, man, according to police.

The crash was reported at approximately 10 a.m. on December 25, 2015, on eastbound Interstate Highway 20 in Terrell, Texas. Two vehicles were involved in the wreck with both overturning — killing a Longview, Texas, man and injuring two Dallas, Texas, men.

Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom says the Longview man, identified as 54-year-old Adolfo Balceira Perez, was driving a 2007 white Dodge Ram pickup truck when he lost control, left the highway, and overturned underneath the Wilson Road overpass.

The second vehicle involved was a 2014 red Mazda CX-5 SUV and was occupied by two 71-year-old males, both of Dallas, Texas, who were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Perez was pronounced deceased at the scene by Kaufman County Justice of the Peace Patricia Ashcroft.

“Advanced crash investigators have responded to the scene to conduct the investigation, which is expected to continue throughout most of the day,” stated Sansom.

The Texas Department of Transportation also responded to the scene due to guardrail damage at the Wilson overpass.

The right lane of Interstate 20 was closed at the time of the crash and expected to remain closed for the next couple of hours.

This is a developing story.
