KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – One person was transported to an area hospital after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 and Helms Trail.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – One person was transported to an area hospital after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 and Helms Trail.
The accident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014, and involved a black sedan and a tan sedan – both sustained major front-end damage. One of the vehicles failed to yield to the right-of-way and attempted to turn in front of an incoming vehicle, according to DPS accident investigator on scene.
An occupant of the tan sedan was transported by an East Texas Medical Center ambulance to Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas. Other minor injuries were reported.
Both vehicles were removed with wreckers. The Forney Fire Department, an Kaufman County Sheriff's Office deputy, an East Texas Medical Center ambulance, and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted at the accident.
Another two-vehicle accident with injuries occurred at this intersection on September 15, 2014.
