KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — At least one person was transported to an area hospital after a rollover accident on I-20 in eastern Kaufman County on Saturday, January 10, 2015.
Just after 1:30 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to I-20 near Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 for a single-vehicle rollover accident. The vehicle, a small passenger car, was traveling eastbound before it overturned in the median of the highway just east of the FM 429 overpass.
One passenger was reportedly ejected from the vehicle which came to a rest on its side. One person was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, by an East Texas Medical Center ambulance.
A wrecker removed the vehicle from the median at approximately 3 p.m. Only minor traffic delays existed in the area while emergency personnel were on scene.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
