COLLEGE MOUND, Texas — A man was injured in a rollover crash on Thursday night in eastern Kaufman County.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., the College Mound Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the crash in the 10000 block of Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 — just a couple miles south of their fire station which is located off FM 429 on County Road 133.
The vehicle, which sustained heavy damage, reportedly lost control, veered off the road, struck a culvert, and overturned before coming to a rest near a tree line.
The man was transported by a CareFlite ambulance to Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman, Texas, with superficial non-life threatening injuries, according to firefighters.
The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) also responded to the crash. DPS is investigating the crash.
All fire units cleared from the scene at approximately 10:15 p.m.
