KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – Nearly 300 Oncor customers in Kaufman County remain without power today after severe thunderstorms moved through east Texas yesterday afternoon and overnight causing "extensive damage," according to Oncor.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – Nearly 300 Oncor customers in Kaufman County remain without power today after severe thunderstorms moved through east Texas yesterday afternoon and overnight causing "extensive damage," according to Oncor.
In all of Oncor's east Texas service area, more than 26,000 customers were affected by power outages yesterday. That number has been reduced to approximately 8,000 this morning. Oncor has positioned additional resources in the area to assist with restoration efforts.
238 customers in the Kaufman area remain without power. Oncor crews are currently assessing the condition of those customers and have not provided an estimated restoration time.
Oncor crews are also still assessing the condition 25 Forney customers to determine when their power may be restored. In Kemp, approximately 4 customers' power is expected to be restored by midnight.
