FORNEY, Texas — The City of Forney will hold a public meeting on January 28, 2015, to receive input from the public on their “Imagine Forney” comprehensive plan.
FORNEY, Texas — The City of Forney will hold a public meeting on January 28, 2015, to receive input from the public on their “Imagine Forney” comprehensive plan.
The meeting will be held at Forney’s City Hall located at 101 East Main Street in downtown. A workshop will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. to allow residents to stop in and fill out questionnaires followed by a presentation at 5 p.m. for a more in-depth discussion on the comprehensive plan.
"The comprehensive plan is used as a guide to direct future growth, development, and redevelopment of a community, it also plays an important role in a community's decision-making process," Forney Director of Community Development Peter Morgan stated after the city launched their Imagine Forney website.
"The ‘Imagine Forney’ plan will help set the framework for the physical development of land over a five-year period and include sections devoted to land use, parks, trails, open space, roadways, and much more,” Morgan stated.
Resident unable to attend the workshop and presentation are encouraged to share their vision of Forney through the Imagine Forney website, the City of Forney’s Facebook Page, or the City of Forney’s Twitter.
