QUINLAN, Texas — A Quinlan Fire Department firefighter was injured when he fell through the ceiling while on a call at Quinlan Church of Christ, according to fire officials.
QUINLAN, Texas — A Quinlan Fire Department firefighter was injured when he fell through the ceiling while on a call at Quinlan Church of Christ, according to fire officials.
Just after 7 p.m., on Wednesday, the Quinlan Fire Department and the West Tawakoni Fire Department responded to the church located in the 8000 block of State Highway 34 with reports of smoke in the attic.
Firefighter Bradon Brister reportedly fell through the ceiling and sustained injuries to his face which required 43 stitches on his nose, 11 stitches on his forehead, and seven above his eye, according to the department’s Facebook Page.
Brister was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Rockwall, Texas, where he was treated and released the same night.
“Healing will hopefully be short,” stated the department. “Continued prayers are greatly appreciated and welcomed by all.”
