SUNNYVALE, Texas — Separate crashes were causing major delays on westbound U.S. Highway 80 on Tuesday morning.
In Sunnyvale, an 18-wheeler overturned into the shoulder of the highway just before Collins Road early Tuesday morning resulting in the closure of the right lane. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Sunnyvale Fire Department responded.
Backups from this wreck backed into Forney near Pinson Road where an 18-wheeler was rear-ended by a truck. The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, and CareFlite responded to this wreck. No injuries were reported.
Crews are still working to clear the overturned 18-wheeler in Sunnyvale.
