KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northwestern Kaufman County until 4 p.m.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northwestern Kaufman County until 4 p.m.
The warning also includes portions of eastern Dallas and southwestern Rockwall Counties.
At 3:30 p.m., radar indicated a severe thunderstorm was located over Sunnyvale, near Forney, which appeared nearly stationary with 60 mile per hour winds and heavy rain.
“Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding,” stated the NWS.
A Flood Advisory was issued for the same areas until 4:30 p.m.
The area of the warning includes Dallas, Garland, Mesquite, Rowlett, Rockwall, Balch Springs, Seagoville, Forney, Hutchins, Heath, Sunnyvale, Wilmer, Crandall, Combine, Talty, and McLendon-Chisholm.
