FORNEY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central and North-Central Texas, including Kaufman County, until Sunday night.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect from 4:05 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Sunday.
"The main threats will be hail to the size of apples (3 inches in diameter) and wind gusts to 70 MPH," stated the NWS. "A few tornadoes may also be possible."
Persons in and near the watch area are advised to stay tuned to the latest weather information, and be prepared to take severe weather precautions should a warning be issued for their location.
