TERRELL, Texas — Firefighters from the Terrell Fire Department and Terrell Volunteer Fire Department extinguished a truck fire on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 Tuesday afternoon.
TERRELL, Texas — Firefighters from the Terrell Fire Department and Terrell Volunteer Fire Department extinguished a truck fire on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 Tuesday afternoon.
The truck, which was hauling an approximate 25-foot trailer, reportedly caught fire just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. The truck caught fire on a side road near the intersection of FM 148 and County Road (CR) 305 — near the Terrell city limits.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and made use of their compressed air foam system (CAFS). The fire was contained to the truck and appeared to originate in the engine bay of the vehicle.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
