TERRELL, Texas — Firefighters with the Terrell Fire Department and the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department tackled an early morning fire Wednesday.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., the fire was reported in the 21000 block of Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 — a half-mile north of U.S. Highway 80 just inside the eastern city limits of Terrell.
The exact extent of the damage is unknown at the time of this report, however, the fire appears to have spread throughout the entire attic.
As of 5:50 a.m., firefighters were still working hotspots in the attic.
No injuries were reported in the fire. The Forney Fire Department was initially requested for mutual aid and later disregarded.
The Terrell Fire Department’s Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire.
