TERRELL, Texas (Terrell Police Department) — On Friday, February 27, 2015, Terrell Police Chief and Command Staff presented three top honors to members of the organization. The private ceremony was held in the Terrell Council Chambers at 8:30 a.m.
Based on supervisory recommendation, each year the department recognizes employees for three major awards.
“We are very proud of these individuals and their efforts should be publicly commended as well. We truly appreciate the hard work they have done for years and want to honor that as they are recognized with these awards for 2014,” said Terrell Police Department Chief Jody L. Lay.
The Terrell Police Department award recipients are:
2014 Officer of the Year — Officer James Walsh
2014 Civilian of the Year — Tina Hoobler
2014 Unit of the Year — Communications Unit
“Congratulations to these employees for their service to the Terrell Police Department and to this community,” said Administrative Captain Troy Kelly who is the Department Awards Committee Chairman and presenter of the employee and unit of the year awards.
