FORNEY, Texas — A three-vehicle accident on westbound U.S. Highway 80 snarled morning rush-hour traffic at Farm-to-Market (FM) 460.
FORNEY, Texas — A three-vehicle accident on westbound U.S. Highway 80 snarled morning rush-hour traffic at Farm-to-Market (FM) 460.
The accident occurred at approximately 7 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, in the left lane of the highway. The accident also partially blocked the right lane and very few vehicles were able to pass the accident which caused major delays in the area. The accident was cleared at approximately 7:33 a.m.
Two of the vehicles were towed from the scene on flatbed wreckers. Involved were a cargo van, a passenger van, and a sedan.
Traffic was backed up more than three-and-a-half miles from the accident to County Road 212.
No injuries were reported in the accident and an inbound East Texas Medical Center ambualnce was disregarded.
The Forney Fire Department and Forney Police Department responded to the accident.
