FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Fire Department collected approximately 450 toys in the “Toys for Forney Kids” toy drive.
FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Fire Department collected approximately 450 toys in the “Toys for Forney Kids” toy drive.
The drive, sponsored by the Forney Independent School District Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, was held at Forney High School and North Forney High School from December 1 through 11. Today, December 12, 2014, firefighters with the Forney Fire Department picked up the toys collected by the students.
The toy drive will culminate in a charity football game between the Forney Fire Department and the Forney Public Works Department employees tomorrow, December 13, 2014, at North Forney High School. The game will be played at 1 p.m. and admission is one unwrapped toy.
North Forney High School is located at 6170 Falcon Way, Forney, Texas.
