FORNEY, Texas — Turn lanes have been added in several places along the Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 business corridor in Forney.
Northbound drivers will now be able to enter a turn lane to enter the Walgreens parking lot and to enter the Sonic parking lot.
Southbound drivers can enter turn lanes to enter the back of the Starplex Cinemas parking lot and to enter both Walmart parking lot entrances — at the front of the store and at Murphy’s gas station.
Drivers should note the new turn lanes at the front Walmart entrance and the Walgreens parking lot is controlled by a traffic signal but there is currently not a protected turn signal. A protected turn signal is planned for the intersection according to city officials but a timeline is not known at this time. We'll update when a timeline becomes available.
The northbound turn signal to enter Kroger Drive and the turn signal for Ridgecrest Road are both protected signals.
