TERRELL, Texas — Two women were ejected from their vehicle Sunday night during a rollover crash on Interstate 20 and resulted in both being airlifted to Dallas-area hospitals.
TERRELL, Texas — Two women were ejected from their vehicle Sunday night during a rollover crash on Interstate 20 and resulted in both being airlifted to Dallas-area hospitals.
The crash was reported just before 9 p.m. and involved an SUV which was traveling eastbound, veered into the median, and overturned several times— ejecting both woman, one of which landed in the westbound lanes of the highway. Westbound Interstate 20 just west of Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 was closed while emergency personnel were on scene and to allow two CareFlite helicopters to land on the highway.
Both woman were taken by CareFlite medical helicopter to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in what was described as serious condition.
The left lane on eastbound Interstate 20 was later closed while a wrecker removed the vehicle.
The Terrell Fire Department, Terrell Police Department, Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, two CareFlite ambulances, two CareFlite helicopters, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash.
