FORNEY, Texas — Two people were transported to area hospitals following a major two-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 which forced its closure near Pecan Lane.
The crash was reported at 5:56 p.m. An SUV was attempting to turn into its driveway on FM 548 when a second vehicle rear-ended the SUV, according to police. The driver of the car was extricated and taken to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in what were described as non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was transported to Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas, with minor injuries.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, and a CareFlite ambulance responded to the crash.
At of 6:33 p.m., FM 548 was reopened.
