FORNEY, Texas — Emergency personnel from Forney and Terrell were responding to rollover crashes in their respective cities Monday night within an hour of each other.
At 8:56 p.m., a rollover crash was first reported just outside the Terrell city limits on westbound U.S. Highway 80 west of County Road 237 which is near the Spur 557 interchange. It’s unknown if there were any injuries in this crash. The Terrell Volunteer Fire Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded.
At 9:36 p.m., the Forney Police Department and fire department responded to eastbound U.S. Highway 80 near the Broad Street exit for a single vehicle which overturned into the south shoulder between the highway and the frontage road. The Broad Street exit was temporarily closed and one patient was transported to Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas.
Road conditions were slick as thunderstorms, accompanied by strong winds, moved through the region Monday night.
