FORNEY, Texas — Two people were transported to area hospitals following a head-on collision on Broad Street Friday night.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Broad Street. A car reportedly exiting the Dollar General parking lot and a vehicle reportedly attempting to enter the parking lot collided.
The female driver of one of the vehicles was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, with non-life threatening injuries and the male driver in the other vehicle was transported to Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas, also with non-life threatening injuries.
Both vehicle were blocking the roadway which remained closed until emergency personnel cleared the scene approximately 40 minutes later.
