POETRY, Texas — Two people were transported to an area hospital following a rollover crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 986 in the Poetry, Texas, area on Tuesday night.
The crash was reported at approximately 9:30 p.m. on FM 986 near County Road 246 — where the road bends at the Poetry water tower. The vehicle, traveling southbound, went off the shoulder, struck a culvert, and overturned into the right-of-way, according to police.
Two individuals were transported by CareFlite ambulance to Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas, with non-life threatening injuries.
FM 986 was temporarily closed while emergency personnel were on scene awaiting a wrecker to remove the vehicle.
The Terrell Volunteer Fire Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) also responded to the crash.
