KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation awarded a $6.1 million contract to repair, widen, and surface a portion of Farm-to-Market (FM) 1836.
“FM 1836 will receive repairs, shoulder widening and a new surface between FM 2515 and FM 90 west of the Van Zandt County Line,” stated Texas Department of Transportation spokesperson Michelle Releford.
The $6.1 million contract was awarded to D.L. Lennon Inc. for the 6.9-mile project.
Construction dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractor, stated Releford.
