KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has awarded a contract to add center striping and rumble strips along the shoulder of Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 in Kaufman County.

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has awarded a contract to add center striping and rumble strips along the shoulder of Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 in Kaufman County.

The 21.7-mile project spans FM 429 from State Highway 243 to U.S. Highway 80. The project, awarded to Striping Technology LP for a contract amount of $207,202.70, will stripe the centerline and add texturized shoulders, commonly known as rumble strips, to the shoulder of FM 429.

“Construction start dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractors,” TxDOT Public Information Officer Michelle Releford announced yesterday.
