TxDOT awards contract to rehabilitate and resurface portions of FM 148 and SH 243 in Kaufman County

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation announced the approval of a contract to rehabilitate and resurface portions of Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 and State Highway (SH) 243.

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation announced the approval of a contract to rehabilitate and resurface portions of Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 and State Highway (SH) 243.

The $3.1 million contract was awarded to A.L. Helcamp, Inc. and will rehabilitate and resurface FM 148 from FM 3094 south to FM 3094 north and SH 243 from U.S. Highway 175 to FM 987.

“Construction dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractor,” according to Texas Department of Transportation spokesperson Michelle Releford.
