FORNEY, Texas — The north service road of U.S. Highway 80 will be closed due to flood damage concerns, according to the City of Forney.
During this morning’s storms, high water from Mustang Creek breached the service road and washed out some of the area around the creek leading to the service road.
The Texas Department of Transportation will close the road from the Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 on ramp to the Pinson Road exit.
The service road could remain closed overnight as TxDOT crews wait for the water to recede so they are able to inspect any possible damage.
