FORNEY, Texas — Forney Independent School District (ISD) students, parents, and administrators honored first responders and veterans today — marking 14 years since the deadliest terror attacks on American soil, September 11, 2001.
The Forney ISD Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JRTOC) Cadets held 9/11 ceremonies at Forney High School and North Forney High School early Friday morning, presenting the American and Texas flags at half-staff.
Veterans and first responders were also honored during the Forney High School pep rally at 1 p.m. on Friday. “To the ones who lost their lives. This one’s for you. Never forget,” read a banner at the pep rally.
