KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A Kaufman County home was destroyed in an early morning fire on Monday, June 8, 2015.
Firefighters from multiple departments were dispatched to the home in the 7000 block of County Road (CR) 275 at approximately 3:56 a.m. Monday. The home is located in Kaufman County between Terrell and Kaufman — northwest of Post Oak Bend.
Upon their arrival, firefighters reported the home, a single-story brick structure, was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were continuing to fight the fire as of 6:45 a.m.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is investing the cause of the fire. There is no word yet if there were any injuries.
The Kaufman Fire Department was initially dispatched to the fire and requested mutual aid from the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department and a tanker from the Forney Fire Department.
