ROCKWALL COUNTY, Texas — A large fire destroyed a Rockwall County home early Wednesday morning on Rabbit Ridge Road — just north of Kaufman County.
The fire was reported at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Rabbit Ridge Road in Rockwall County. The McClendon-Chisholm Volunteer Fire Department, Heath Fire Department, and Rockwall Fire Department responded to fight the fire.
Firefighters say the residents were able to safely evacuate the home.
The Rockwall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
