COMBINE, Texas — The Combine Volunteer Fire Department assisted Dallas County firefighters knock door-to-door to alert residents in southeast Dallas County of voluntary evacuations.
The voluntary evacuations were issued Sunday night as flood waters continued to swell the Trinity River and the Parsons Slough resulting in flooding on area roadways.
Firefighters said between 30 and 40 residents lived in the area of the voluntary evacuations along Bilindsay Road and Bilindsay Cove.
The National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, issued an Areal Flood Warning for the area until 9:45 p.m. Monday.
One resident was seen traversing a water swept Bilindsay Road with a trailer full of belongings to evacuate the area for the night.
