KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — Westbound Interstate 20 reopened at mile marker 509 following a major head-on crossover collision which resulted in two people being flown to area hospitals.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — Westbound Interstate 20 reopened at mile marker 509 following a major head-on crossover collision which resulted in two people being flown to area hospitals.
The crash was reported around 6:30 p.m. on westbound Interstate 20 near the County Road 310 exit and mile marker 509. A vehicle traveling eastbound crossed over the center median and struck another vehicle head on, according to officials.
One vehicle reportedly overturned in the crash.
A Careflite helicopter and an Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter responded to the crash. Two others were reportedly injured. The CareFlite helicopter transported one to Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
The Elmo Volunteer Fire Department responded to the crash.
